Rose
A very good friend of mine asked me to
write this song about a girl who has a terminally ill
disease. My friend, studying Play Therapy (a form of child
Psychology) had a project to do on this topic. She used the
‘Rose Bush’ technique (where the child projects themself as
a rose bush) and wanted a song written about how this girl
must be feeling. It’s a very meaningful song for myself as
well. |

things a person wants their partner to do. I suppose if all
the questions were answered with a ‘yes’, I know I’d be very

I wrote ‘Say What’ with someone particular
in mind, but as time goes on I realise it’s for a few
people. It’s about a boy whose life is carrying on in all
aspects, but the one part (love) he just can’t seem to focus
on and no matter how much he tries to avoid it, she will
always be a part of it, in his dreams and life, until he
says what he really wants to say.
