Carmen Meyer
 

Carmen was born in South Africa and moved to Namibia when she was two years old. She received her first nylon string guitar for her 13th birthday from her parents and it’s been everywhere with her for the past few years. Her lyric writing started from poems she had written, and once she got an award for them, she realised she must have some knack with words.

Carmen taught myself guitar and would find herself spending hours on end writing and making music. She moved back to South Africa in 2004 and decided to do two diplomas – one in Journalism and one in Montessori teaching. Her music has always been her passion and hobby and you’ll probably find that if you ask her to play a song, She'll want to play ten more!
